1. Acceptance and scope

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Quran Chat platform, including the marketing website and the application, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Quran Chat is an Islamic learning and guidance platform that lets you chat with AI assistants about the Quran, with answers grounded in the Quran and authentic Islamic sources such as translation and tafsir. The Service is intended to support learning and reflection and is not a substitute for qualified Islamic scholarship or personal religious counsel.

The Service is designed and optimised for English. It may respond to messages in other languages, but responses in languages other than English are not optimised and may be less accurate or complete.

3. AI technology

The conversational AI on this platform is Quran Chat's own AI setup: an open model (Qwen3) configured for Quran Chat, which answers from the Mufti Taqi Usmani translation and Ma'ariful Qur'an and checks its citations and Arabic quotes. It runs on the operator's own hardware, and our current practice is not to send user messages to third-party AI providers. Service availability and performance depend on this setup and may be limited, interrupted, or changed without notice.

AI-generated content is intended for informational purposes only and does not reflect the official views, positions, or opinions of Quran Chat. You should verify important information with authoritative sources and qualified scholars.

4. Free service; usage limits

The Service is provided free of charge. Each account receives a daily message allowance, which is subject to change at our discretion. Usage may also be rate-limited to keep the Service available and to prevent abuse. We do not guarantee that you will never experience rate limits, delays, or interruptions.

5. Voluntary support

You can choose to support Quran Chat through PayPal (paypal.me/balint94). Any support you send is a voluntary gift. It does not purchase goods, services, features, extra messages, or priority, and it does not change these Terms or how the Service works for you. Payments are made through PayPal and are subject to PayPal’s own terms and policies. Because payments are handled by PayPal, we are not able to issue refunds through Quran Chat; for questions about a payment, please contact PayPal.

6. AI limitations and disclaimers

The chatbot is an AI assistant, not a religious authority or scholar. Responses are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for qualified Islamic scholars. The platform does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or scholarly consensus of any AI-generated content. You should verify sensitive religious, legal, or personal guidance with a qualified human scholar. The platform is not liable for any decisions you make based on AI responses. By using the Service, you accept that AI responses may contain errors and that service availability may be limited or interrupted.

7. Accounts, conduct, and age

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. The Service is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you are under 18, you may need the consent or supervision of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service, depending on the laws that apply to you. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet the age requirement and, where applicable, have any required parental or guardian consent. You agree to use the Service in a lawful and respectful manner consistent with our Islamic mission and applicable laws.

8. Intellectual property and content

The Quran Chat brand, website, and application design and content (excluding user-generated content and third-party materials) are our property or our licensors’. You may not copy, modify, or exploit them without permission. You retain rights to content you submit; you grant us the licenses necessary to operate the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Privacy and data

Our collection and use of personal data are described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to such processing in accordance with that policy and applicable law.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free AI outputs, or that the Service will meet any particular religious or legal standard. 11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quran Chat and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on AI-generated content. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability shall not exceed the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes may be communicated via the Service or email where appropriate.

13. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction specified in our policies or applicable to your residence. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
