Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

1. Acceptance and scope

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Quran Chat platform, including the marketing website and the application, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Quran Chat is an Islamic learning and guidance platform that provides AI-assisted answers and tools grounded in the Quran and authentic Islamic sources. The Service is intended to support learning and reflection and is not a substitute for qualified Islamic scholarship or personal religious counsel.

3. AI technology and third-party provider

The conversational AI on this platform is powered by K2 Think V2, a model developed by MBZUAI (Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence). Quran Chat uses this third-party model. No partnership, endorsement, or affiliation exists between Quran Chat and MBZUAI. K2 Think V2 is intended as the long-term AI engine of the platform. Service availability and performance may depend on the uptime and limits of this third-party API, which are outside our control.

4. Free and paid tiers; usage limits

  • Free tier: Free users receive credits up to a platform-defined global quota. This quota is subject to change at our discretion.
  • Paid / unlimited tier: Paid or “unlimited” access is subject to upstream API limits as last disclosed (at the time of writing: 20 requests per minute, maximum 15 concurrent requests). These limits are set by the API provider and may change without notice. We do not guarantee that paid users will never experience rate limits or delays due to upstream constraints.

5. AI limitations and disclaimers

The chatbot is an AI assistant, not a religious authority or scholar. Responses are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for qualified Islamic scholars. The platform does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or scholarly consensus of any AI-generated content. You should verify sensitive religious, legal, or personal guidance with a qualified human scholar. The platform is not liable for any decisions you make based on AI responses. By using the Service, you accept that AI responses may contain errors and that service availability depends on third-party API uptime outside our control.

6. Accounts, conduct, and age

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. The Service is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you are under 18, you may need the consent or supervision of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service, depending on the laws that apply to you. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet the age requirement and, where applicable, have any required parental or guardian consent. You agree to use the Service in a lawful and respectful manner consistent with our Islamic mission and applicable laws.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Paid plans, subscriptions, refunds, and cancellations are governed by the terms presented at checkout and by our payment and merchant-of-record partners. We do not store your full payment details; processing is handled by third parties. Pricing and plan features may change; we will communicate material changes where required by applicable law or our policies.

8. Intellectual property and content

The Quran Chat brand, website, and application design and content (excluding user-generated content and third-party materials) are our property or our licensors’. You may not copy, modify, or exploit them without permission. You retain rights to content you submit; you grant us the licenses necessary to operate the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Privacy and data

Our collection and use of personal data are described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to such processing in accordance with that policy and applicable law.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free AI outputs, or that the Service will meet any particular religious or legal standard. See our Disclaimer for additional limitations regarding AI and religious guidance.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quran Chat and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes may be communicated via the Service or email where appropriate.

13. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction specified in our policies or applicable to your residence. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
