Data Rights

Last updated: February 2026

1. Overview

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding your personal data. This page summarises those rights and how to exercise them in relation to Quran Chat. Our full data practices are set out in our Privacy Policy.

2. Rights you may have

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure / deletion — request deletion of your personal data, including by deleting your account.
  • Export / portability — request a copy of your data in a portable format (e.g. chat history where we support it).
  • Object or restrict — object to certain processing or request restriction in certain circumstances.
  • Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

The exact rights available depend on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or other local laws). We will respond to valid requests in accordance with applicable law.

3. How to exercise your rights

You can request account deletion and data export through the Quran Chat application where those options are available. For any other request (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, or restriction), contact us at salaam@thequranchat.com. We do not designate a separate Data Protection Officer; all requests are handled by our general contact. We will verify your identity where necessary and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

4. Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your data in line with the law, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter.

5. Contact
